All right, what you do is you point each skate just a little bit outwards and push your foot along it. And then you do it with the other foot. And then just keep going - like taking steps.

[Arthas doesn't change his expression, but offers her one hand. The other stays clamped on the railing.]

You have to let go a little.

C'mon, we'll stay next to the railing. [ She pulls, gently, a slow acceleration. He's a lot heavier than her, but they don't need to go fast. ]

Point your feet a little bit outward, like this. Like you're taking steps.

[Arthas sighs and let's go of the wall, then immediately wobbles and curses again.]

[Arthas glares but tries it; it does indeed seem to work slightly better, not that he'll be doing figure-eights any time soon.]

[ She shoots him a grin, switches around so she's next to him. ]

As soon as she moves, he grabs the rail again. He knows how not to fall down, and it's holding on to the wall.

He does as she shows him, though, albeit slowly so he doesn't need to let go.]

[ She's never had to go without it, except for that one little flood where they ended up on the planet's surface. ]

I'm not. You should have seen how many times Charles fell flat on his face when he first tried.

[ She giggles, at the memory. ]

I don't know. It's used for a lot of sports now, though. Hockey. Figure skating, and ice dancing.

We have them where I'm from, but usually there are more practical ways.

Maybe it was a way to move fast along a river, when it was frozen over.

I have boots with spikes on them. They walk on ice.

[ She lets go of him, and accelerates quick, moving around in a sweeping, agile curve. Going backwards part of the way. (NOT SHOWING OFF totally showing off.) ]

[ She reaches out for his hand again. ]

He pushes off the wall into a stiff glide, and seems to be staying upright pretty well until he runs out of momentum and topples onto his butt.]

[Her hand goes to her mouth, muffling a laugh.]

You do have to take steps, to keep moving. I mean - don't be as stiff. It'll help.

[She offers a hand to help him up, even though it's halfway likely that it'll just pull her down.]
