Well, I'll try keep this short regardless. I am a Mistborn, a person with metal based powers. Each metal gives me a different ability. I am also half skaa, meaning, I spent the majority of my life avoiding execution. Half-breeds are quite illegal. Should a noble man take up with a skaa woman, by law, he is to kill her after to ensure no half breed children can be conceived.

My mother was more resourceful than most and hid her skaa heritage. Until our father found out and had her killed. My bother and I managed to escape and took to a life of crime. This was before I came into my powers.

My powers manifested after I was sent to the Pits of Hathsin as punishment for trying to rob the Lord Ruler himself. [He holds up a scarred arm so she can see.] No one survived the Pits until I did.

After my escape and discovery of my powers I felt the most sensible thing was to overthrow the Lord Ruler and change the world. You can guess the rest, I imagine.

Half of her wants to say 'it worked?' and the other half wants to say - ]

[He grins] And started a revolution with my death.

Is that supposed to be a good thing?

Well, I would have liked not to die but the point is it worked.

And you're like Erik because he's trying to change the world?

A bit. I'm more like him because of what I usually do to the nobles I meet.

How are people with powers treated in your world?

If you are noble, you're in high regard and even high demand. Low born nobles with powers can become rich and influential.

If you are a skaa or Tarrisman with powers you're hunted down and killed.

Does Erik like you?

He seems to but wouldn't that be a question better asked to him?

[ She looks straight at him, and lets her transformation go. Her skin flickers to blue, and her hair shortens, twists to red. Her eyes blink yellow. ]

[he looks so pleased right now. He stops himself from asking if she needs eat a body and steal its bones to do that.]

I once knew someone with powers similar to yours. He was quite the actor. Well, he was a he last I saw him. Gender is something of a fuzzy area among Kandra.
